B. Kopp Judit volt az egyetlen magyar szobrászművésznő, aki az egyházi témához életműként fordult. Alkotó periódusának első szakasza a II. Vatikáni Zsinat liturgikus reformjaival esik egybe, ekkor születtek a művészre annyira jellemző oltárok és ambók.
